Ordinary Moroccans recall special moment with HRH Prince Moulay Rachid

NWS_0190202

Rabat, July 3, 2007 -  HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, on May 22, 2007, led a funeral service for the Moroccan human rights activist Driss Benzekri who died of cancer. The funeral was also attended by the Prime Minister and other officials.

Morocco's Prince Moulay Rachid took place in mosque for the prayers, expressed his condolences, then, His Royal Highness led crowd to the cemetery accompanied by the relatives of deceased Driss Benzekri.

“Look, look, His Royal Highness will go on foot from mosque to the cemetery, like all of us! - whispered villagers amazed at the patience and modesty displayed by the young Prince Moulay Rachid.

Indeed, it was the first time that the Moroccan royal would equally with ordinary people, side by side, come together for one, even though the Alaouite Dynasty is one of the oldest reigning dynasty in the world.

Prince Moulay Rachid, close to the hearts of people, went two kilometers without red carpet, without car, on narrow dusty road, hand-in-hand with huge crowd of ordinary Moroccan people, who got the opportunity to know the true and real Prince, the extremely kind, generous and remarkable smart academic, and the greatest visionary leader.

“We are blessed to have such a humble and caring Prince”, says local onlooker.  We never have a royal that touched the hearts of people more than Prince Moualy Rachid does.

His Royal Highness, an amazingly dynamic leader, is always on the very front of wave, who presents us new vision of leadership and who contributes great deal to the nation and has truly astonishing visionary thinking that no others can top.

We leave it with only one reflection: His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid is really not the Prince but the King, King of people's hearts.
